DOLOMITES – THE CALL OF THE MOUNTAIN

Enduro riding in the Alps? Actually today hardly any more possible. But we will show you an off-road paradise that meets all demands. To the south of the main camp, not far from Tolmezzo, there are the Carnic Alps, our area for a week of impressions and pure fun. Across decaying military routes and small roads, we discover ancient fortifications, crystal clear mountain lakes, cross high mountain pastures and conquer the highest peaks.

The excellent relationships of our hotelier, Giorgio, with the local authorities, foresters and mountain farmes is the reason why this tour is an extraordinary experience for you. In addition, our base hotel in the mountains has a lot to offer: pool, sauna, steam bath, and then of course the food: the phenomenal combination of Italian, Austrian and a bit Slovenian.

When it comes to motorcycling, you are spoiled for choice: How about a roadbook trip over all the mountains or you stick hard to the off-road tires of the tour guides. One thing is certain – the impressions of this absolutely grandiose landscape with its rugged mountain massifs, the lush green mountain meadows and the breathtaking views will be remembered for a long time.

TOTAL DISTANCE

Approximately 750 kilometers, 70% off-road, 110-220 kilometers day stages.

DRIVING SKILLS

The tour is nevertheless designed in such a way that the very difficult passages could partly be redirected, because we want to move despite all touristically, enjoying the scenery without perspiration dropping from our helmet permanently. However, depending on the experience of the group, the degree of difficulty can be greatly increased. A training course in advance can’t hurt, or you have self-obtained practice in the terrain. For a two-cylinder it’s not quite so suitable, there are partly quite tricky and narrow passages, which provide ground clearance and narrow silhouettes. No beginner’s tour!

ROADBOOK

Our tours are designed in such a way that there is space for individual development. For this reason we have developed a route map, the so-called roadbook. With this instruction manual packed in a holder on the handlebars, you navigate to the day’s destination. Just start looking for a partner at the beginning of the trip, and then go through thick and thin one week together. When and where breaks are put in, or how one organize the day – it’s up to you. Only for dinner we would gladly to have you all together. But do not worry – we’re on the road with you.

On request, we rent roadbook holders for the duration of the tour.

GROUP RIDING

On our tour there is also the possibility to travel without a roadbook and to join the tour guides. They will adjust the tempo accordingly to your driving skills. For breaks or photostops, there is always plenty of time with us, as well as for hints on how to improve your driving skills, or exercise inserts.

OVERNIGHT STAY

Consistently in double rooms with very good standard. On request and for an extra charge, we can offer you single rooms. Our base hotel, where we are accommodated all week, is situated on the outskirts of a beautiful village with Italian flair, so it also would be a good starting point for hiking or mountain excursions. In addition, you can whip into shade tired bones in the pool or in the sauna area.

CUISINE

As I said before, Italy is worth a trip alone in culinary terms, especially this region with its varied cuisine. This means that after a sumptuous endurist breakfast we will leave and have lunch at the remote mountain huts. In the evening, we let ourselves be spoiled with a four-course menu.

CLOTHING
